It has been almost seventeen (17) years since a revaluation was completed in the Township of Cedar Grove, New Jersey. Real estate taxation law mandates that all real estate be assessed at 100% of market value and there must be equalization among assessments.
A revaluation is a program undertaken by a municipality to appraise all real property at its fair market value. The goal of a revaluation program is to ensure the tax burden is equitably distributed throughout a municipality.
