| Cedar Grove Recreation Department announces that its Summer Playground program for resident children who will be entering grades 1 – 5 in September. Playgrounds will open on Monday, June 30th at North End and South End Schools. The Tot-Lot Program for four and five year olds will begin the same date at the Memorial Middle School Cafeteria. Flyers have been distributed through the schools and are also available at the Recreation Department. Children entering grades 1 – 5 will have the choice of attending playground on a daily basis through July 31 at either North End or South End Schools. The program will extend each day from 8:45 – 12:00 Noon. Tot-Lot will operate daily from 9:00 – 11:30 AM, for children that are 4 years old by June 30th. Children must be toilet trained and have birth certificate and proof of immunization. Children wishing to leave playgrounds prior to dismissal times must be picked up by parents or designated responsible adults. Playground will feature informal games, sports, arts and crafts, and special events. Registration Fee is $ 110 per child and $ 55 for additional sibling. Registration is limited. The Recreation Department will also sponsor a series a weekly Sport Camps at the Cedar Grove High School. These clinics are open to resident children who will be entering grades 4 – 8 in September. One registration fee will cover Playground and Sports Camps. Weekly camps includes Basketball, Track, Baseball, Football, and Soccer. Playgrounds and Sport Camps are closed Friday, July 4.
